Keenan's version:
David and I first met at work. What started as a friendly coworker dynamic soon turned into a friendship and, slowly, something more. By the following summer, our lunch breaks became little rituals, usually involving our shared love of Taco Bell (yes, really!).
That summer, David truly began to win me over with food, hikes, new adventures around the Pacific Northwest, and lots of wine. Then, on October 1, 2022, he took me to a beautiful winery in Hood River. With a little liquid courage, he opened up about his feelings, and that was the day we officially became a couple. Thank goodness for that rosé!
David is one of the kindest and most patient person I know, and with him, even the mundane becomes special: from being stuck in traffic, waiting at the DMV, or flying across the world. Every moment is better with him by my side. I can’t wait to call him my husband!
David's version:
When I first met Keenan, the world was still rebounding from the COVID era, and masks were very much still a thing. I remember that all I could see were Keenan’s beautiful, expressive eyes and hear the sound of her laugh. This mystery girl had piqued my interest—so much so that I started grabbing candy from her desk every day, even if I didn’t like the candy… just for an excuse to talk to her.
Over the next few months, our connection grew naturally. Those early days were filled with butterflies, laughter, and the joy of discovering shared interests and creating new memories. Friendship slowly turned into something more.
When I finally asked Keenan to be my girlfriend, I remember her smiling and saying, “I wonder what took you so long,” before leaning in for a kiss. Our journey together since then has been incredible—from taking Keenan to NYC for the first time to moving in together.
Keenan is, by far, the best thing that’s ever happened to me. She brings out the best in who I am, inspires growth, and is someone I can always count on. Through her, I’ve learned what it truly means to fall in love—and for that, I couldn’t be more grateful. There’s no doubt in my mind—Keenan will be the perfect wife.
